Simulator training creates superior pilots!

From our headquarters in beautiful Santa Fe, SkyMachines offers advanced simulator training on both traditional instrumentation and Garmin G1000 platforms. You can simulate operations in any part of the USA.

There are some operations that you just can't safely practice in an aircraft...like V1 cuts and other engine-out emergencies. Our simulators allow you to learn and practice in a controlled learning environment, with the ability to "freeze" the flight at any time or back up and try a procedure over and over until you've "got it."

Typical applications include:

  • Recurrency (including instrument proficiency checks)

  • Learn or perfect GPS and WAAS approaches

  • Emergency procedure training (partial panel, engine-out, etc.)

  • Piston-to-turbine upgrade prep

  • Crew resource management and multi-pilot crew practice

  • Airline simulator evaluation prep

  • IFR operations in the mountains

  • Intro, basic, and advanced Garmin G1000 operations

Our instructors have at least 4000 hours flight experience, including in turbine operations, and have given at least 1000 hours of flight instruction. They can design the perfect simulator training program that meets your specific needs.

Our CRX Pro-Motion AATD sim (pictured above) features pitch and roll motion with realistic turbulence, Garmin 530 GPS/Com with WAAS, full flight director and autopilot with altitude pre-select. It accurately simulates a variety of piston and turbine singles and twins, including:

  • Beech: Bonanza A36 and A36TC; Baron 58 (twin); Travelair (twin), Duchess (twin); 1900D (turboprop), King Air C90, A100 & B100 (turboprop)

  • Cessna: 172 carbureted; 172R & 172S injected; 182RG & turbo 182RG; 182T and turbo 182T; 206H; 414A (twin); 421C (twin); 208B Caravan (turboprop). COMING SOON: Cessna 501 Citation

  • Mooney: M20K (231 and Encore); M20J (201, 205, MSE)

  • Pilatus PC12

  • Piper: Archer III; Warriior II; Arrow; Seminole (twin); Seneca V (twin); Cheyenne (turboprop)

ALL aircraft are only $109/hr. including experienced instructor. This is the least expensive alternative to aircraft rental for initial and recurrent instrument pilot training!

Our Redbird TD2 (pictured above) offers complex single-engine simulation featuring the famous Garmin G1000 (non-WAAS) panel. It's a great way to learn or practice G1000 operations. It rents for only $99 per hour, including instructor.
