SkyAssist
Timeline
Note: Days and dates are approximate and should be used as
an example only.
Day 1:
-
You fill out our
Aircraft Value
Analysis Request form. (Please use the
Aircraft
Grading Standards to fairly rate your aircraft.)
Day 2-3:
-
We'll perform a detailed a detailed analysis of your
aircraft's value in today's marketplace and advise you of the results.
Day 3-4:
-
If you're comfortable with our estimate of the aircraft's
value, you and SkyMachines will sign our Aircraft Brokerage Agreement. If
you are not satisfied with our aircraft value analysis, we go our separate
ways...you owe us nothing.
-
Once you've signed our Brokerage Agreement, we'll
immediately place print ads in Trade-a-Plane, Aero Trader, Controller
and General Aviation News, and place detailed Internet ads on
AOPA, Aircraft.com, Barnstormers, and many more. We'll
also create an incredibly detailed Internet spec sheet for viewing here on
SkyMachines.
-
We'll order a title search, AD search, and copies of your
aircraft's FAA 337 forms.
Day 5-10:
-
If you choose (and we strongly recommend you do so), we'll
arrange for your aircraft to be detailed, appraised and inspected by an
independent shop.
-
You will make photocopies of the aircraft logbooks, going
back 10 years, and mail them to us. (We will make these records available
for prospective purchasers to download.)
Day 10-20:
-
The appraiser and maintenance shop will send us his
written appraisal report. We'll verify its accuracy and add the title
report, pre-sale inspection report, test flight report, FAA 337's, and
logbook records. We'll then make it all available to prospective buyers to
download from your airplane's spec sheet on SkyMachines. We'll also
digitally enhance the appraiser's photographs and add them to our Web site
and the other Web sites we are advertising your plane on.
Day 20-180
-
Our goal is to give each prospective buyer enough
information on our web site that they literally have only one question:
"Is the airplane still available?" But we'll answer phones and return
emails seven days a week in case they still have questions. (They always
do!) Once we know a buyer is serious, we'll provide him or her with our
exclusive Non-Binding Letter of Intent form. We'll immediately send you
all written offers, and give you a form to counter their offer. We won't
give out your contact information or allow them to disturb you in any way
without your prior permission. Once you and the buyer have agreed on a
selling price, we'll all execute a multi-page Aircraft Sale Agreement
specifying the rights and obligations of each party. We'll then open
escrow, help the buyer arrange travel, inspections, financing, and
insurance, and see that the rest of the process goes smoothly. Our goal is
to have the entire process completed in 150 days or less.
