Broker's Note: Few
fixed-gear singles include this equipment. Their presence in N152YH
adds $13,000-$17,000 to its value, according to the Aircraft
Bluebook and the National Aircraft Appraisers Assn., but if you
fly serious IFR, or plan to, you'll be very glad to have it.
(Conversely, if you don't plan to fly IFR, its value to you is
minimal and you should consider a different airplane.)

EXTERIOR
Airframe: Rated 9/10 ("Extra Fine") "Exterior surfaces
are almost flawless and would meet the #10 criteria except for 1 or 2
minor exceptions. The aircraft has had no skin or structural repairs and
no damage history. Aircraft total time for year, make and model is very
low."
Paint: Rated 9/10 ("Extra Fine") "The paint is in "as
new" condition with no noticeable defects beyond some very minor paint
chipping around the aft cowl edge."
- Upper fuselage: Eggshell White.
- Lower fuselage and wingtips: Purple metallic. Stripes & N-number:
Yellow.
- Aircraft stored outside but covered with canopy cover...we challenge
anyone to tell the difference between this aircraft and one which has
been hangared its whole life. (Fog and low clouds often cover the
airport for part of the day; it's a mild, seaside climate.)
- While it's rated "9," the only reason we couldn't call it a "10" is
because it is not New, which is a requirement for a "10".
Windows: Rated 9/10. "No crazing or cracks are evident and
they appear to be new or nearly new."
INTERIOR
Rated 9/10 ("Extra Fine") "All aspects
of the interior are in 'as new' condition with only slight soiling on the
rear seat carpets and some scuffing on the rear bulkhead from tow bar
storage--all easily cleaned."

BROKER DISCUSSION
N152YH has a fresh annual and all 4 cylinders were just overhauled
because of suspected corrosion on the cylinder walls.
After only one owner, this aircraft is perfect and practically new in
all respects. It has 70% less time than the fleet average for its age.
With a fresh annual, fresh transponder and pitot static inspections, it is
absolutely "fly away" ready and will provide many years of trouble-free
service for its new owner.
This aircraft is priced right for its age, condition and
equipment: it can be purchased for below its book value, no matter
which valuation guide you're consulting (Vref, Bluebook or NAAA).
N152YH is equipped with air conditioning and a flight director/HSI.
According to the Aircraft Bluebook, the air conditioning adds $8,750 to
the value of the 2000 Archer III, and the flight director/HSI combo adds
another $16,845. When comparing N152YH to other aircraft to ascertain
value, make sure they are similarly equipped or have been revalued
accordingly.
According to Piper's web site, a 2006 Archer equipped like N152YH sells
for approximately $325,000...that's 78% more than N152YH! Yet the
capabilities and speed of both aircraft are exactly the same. Since N152YH
is "good as new," we think you'd be crazy to pay 78% more! Not only that,
but this aircraft is priced below all book values!
